If the government is accepting Sharia law, then the Taliban must have way more control than anyone is interested in admitting. A note on this post - I did hear on NPR, that we wouldn't go into Pakistan because we don't have a UN mandate to do so. So that is why we have only been using the drone attacks and covert operations - somehow they aren't considered violating any international laws. The Afghan govt??? There will be thousands of more troops poured into Afghanistan, by Nato, the US, and even some more Kiwi SAS troops.
